Weekend Updates

Lately weekends seem to be the only time we have to work on our projects, and this weekend was no exception.  Friday night my boyfriend took me out to a romantic dinner at J. Alexander's to celebrate our anniversary in the house, the food was wonderful and we had such a great time just being able to finally spend some quality time together.  On Saturday, Wayne recruited his dad to help him work on the deck, while his mom, aunt, grandma and I went to the Fairborn sweet corn festival.  I didn't really see anything for the house that I wanted, but I did have some delicious watermelon! 

By the time the guys were done working the deck looked like this:

The support is pretty much all done, now we need to order our composite which we will probably do later this week, or next weekend.

Today, we were able to get my dresser almost completely finished.  We got the track guides on all the drawers and handles on three.  On the last drawer we didn't get the holes to line up right for the handles so we still need to work on that one. 

Here is how it looks so far (notice that I only have two drawers in, thats because the third on that is finished had spiders living in it from being in our basement and I am waiting for Wayne to get rid of them before I touch it--he didn't have time today because he had to go put the engine in his new car):

Besides those projects, I got all the weeds pulled again, cleaned up the house, and got a bunch of laundry done.  We were supposed to go check out some more furniture, but that didn't happen, so hopefully next weekend we will be able to make a trip to look at a few different stores.
