We haven't gotten many of our projects completed that were on the list for July, but we at least got most of them started and still have a couple weeks left to finish a few.
1) Finish dresser -- almost complete, should be done tonight or tomorrow
2) Build deck -- just started
3) Get rid of broken chair and rearrange living room furniture --going out to the curb tonight
4) New pillows for living room
5) Sand and paint desk -- started sanding
6) Start working on guest bedrooms --got them all cleaned up, lots more to do
I was hoping to have the dresser finished last week but that has been a nightmare. Ill have more explanation on that one once it is complete. All thats left to do now is screw on the track guides and handles.
We have also started working on the deck, it has been so hot out that we don't have as much done as we would like, but we definitely have a good start. I think Wayne's dad might also be coming over later this afternoon to help him get some more done.
We also had my aunt, uncle, and cousin come to visit for the weekend. They were down here for a work conference and came to see the house and stay with us Saturday night. So we took them out to dinner at a little local restaurant, The Dock, that has a tropical themed boathouse and it was so hot it literally felt like we were somewhere in Florida! After that we went to visit Wayne's parents for everyone to meet, and then came back to the house to crash. This morning we went out for breakfast at Clifton Mill and walked around to enjoy all the scenery...
It was so great having them down to visit, it is not often I get to see them anymore! Also, the house is probably as clean as it has been in a while now, which is always a plus!
Planning to have a step by step for the dresser up in a few days so keep checking back!
